Pittsburg offers the outdoor enthusiast a
treasure of opportunities to enjoy the beauty and wonder of the great
north woods.
The Connecticut lakes and many streams
offer some of the best trophy trout and salmon fishing available in the
northeast. There are innumerable areas to kayak, hike, picnic and swim.
The changing colors of autumn signal that
the trees are getting ready for winter. In addition to an alert for all
leaf peepers to come to the Connecticut lakes area to view brilliant
foliage, it is a signal that all true fishing and hunting enthusiasts
should “point it north”. This time of year produces fantastic fishing,
amongst an array of natural color. It also signals the beginning of the
bear, bird, bow and rifle hunting seasons.
Life is good with great hunting in the
morning, followed by the opportunity for trophy fishing in the afternoon;
all amongst nature’s autumn array of color...put another way, you could be
home raking leaves!
And, when the snow is on the ground, you
can Snowmobile from Bear Tree to trail #142 or Snowshoe. |
